The Studley Green Community Centre in south Buckinghamshire is a local facility and organisation providing the opportunity for local people to get together, meet and have fun. The facilities are available for private hire and there is a range of regular activities for local people to engage in.
The Main Hall is a large space, suitable for various activities. There are a number of folding tables and upholstered seating for 90. There are also some benches that can double as a small stage. There is a hatch from the kitchen to the hall so that refreshments can be served from there. The floor has been recently renovated and re-polished. Off the hall is a patio area.
This room is an atmospheric area with small occasional tables and upholstered chairs, perfect for a small social occasion. There is a solid wood bar and shelving behind. Licences have to be applied for from the authorities if alcohol is to be served. Glasses are available for use and there is a small kitchenette accessed from behind the bar which houses a large fridge and sink unit.
The Kite’s Nest, our small meeting room, is accessed via the Bar Room, and is ideal for businesses, small groups and organisations to gather, meet and hold training sessions. The room houses a boardroom table and upholstered chairs.
The kitchen has a double stainless steel sink, large cooker, water heater, kettles, microwave oven etc and the cupboards are fully stocked with cups and saucers, mugs, plates etc. Cloths and tea towels are provided. Off the kitchen is a Utility area with sink, useful for artists to wash brushes etc. Brooms and mops are also stored here for hirers to use for cleaning up after their sessions.
Outside in the sports field next door is a well furnished play area for children. The sports field is used by the Downley Dynamos Youth Football Club who play during the winter season. Dog walking is allowed around the perimeter and a dog waste bin is available to the side of the car park.
The side of the hall is an area reserved for disabled parking, enabling easy access to a gentle sloped walkway to reach the front door. We have also recently installed a fully equipped disabled toilet.
