Studley Green Art Group

The Thursday Morning Studley Green Art Group was originally organised and run by Mrs Susan Fawthrop of Studley Green. Mrs Fawthrop ran the Group for approx. 10 years with the aim to encourage and support local amateur artists and painters.

After her move to Dorset, Lauretta Milligan and Lis Smith, volunteered to take over the running of the Art Group. The Group is a non-profit Art Group which aims to provide mutual support and encouragement to a small group of painting enthusiasts as well as enjoying the opportunity to expand their knowledge and love of art. The Group has a membership of a maximum of 22 amateur artists, and it meets every Thursday morning during school term time from 09h30am-12h30pm. The Group regularly invites local artists to tutor the Group on the use of different painting techniques.

The Group also runs 2 Thursday workshops per year – 10h00am -16h00pm – which are led by invited artist tutors. Each Member of the Art Group requires their own table to work from - this limits the maximum number of members in the Art Group to 22.
